GRHS Library Additions

Our GRHS library continues to receive new materials and grow office holder! Strong leadership at all levels of our Society is of vital importance. You can make a difference in shaping the future of our Society. In addition to chapter elections, there will be five positions open on the International Board of Directors which will be filled by election during the Annual Convention. Please consider running for office. Step forward and volunteer to be a candidate! You can do so by contacting Al Feist, Nominations Committee Chairman.

I want to briefly touch on a major effort underway by the By-laws Committee. It has become clear that the By-laws of GRHS have been in need of review to clear up ambiguities and to modernize them so they address GRHS needs today. This is a large task. It is required that the membership at large (that is you) vote on any By-law change. The committee's goal is to complete their review by the April Board of Directors meeting. The Board will then review the proposed changes and decide whether they will be placed on the ballot to be voted on during the membership meeting held at the July convention. You, the general membership, will receive a mailing at least one month prior to the convention which will include the text of the proposed By-law changes. Please take the time to review the changes. The By-laws govern the Society so this is an issue I hope you will seriously consider.

By now, you have received your annual membership renewal letters. If you have returned the renewal form, thank you. If you have not done so, please do so very soon. Your continued membership, involvement, and support are essential for GRHS to continue to be a vital, vibrant organization. I hope to see you in July in Bismarck!
